A Dog-Gone Frozen Treat

Give that dog a bone, or better yet, a nutritious frozen treat to help him beat the summer heat. Homemade Pumpkin Doggie Ice Cream is just what the weatherman ordered. It’s quick and easy, healthy and irresistible. Recipe below.

For you cat-lovers, avoid giving ice cream to your fav feline! The sugar and milk/cream content can cause digestive problems and diarrhea.

Pumpkin Doggie Ice Cream Recipe
Ingredients:

  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree (be sure it’s not pie filling!)
  • 1 cup plain low-fat yogurt
  • ½ cup organic peanut butter

Directions:

  • Combine all ingredients in a blender then pour into container and freeze. Scoop up and serve to your pooch in a dish or cone. You can also pour blended ingredients into ice cube trays. When frozen, transfer cubes to freezer bag.
