16julAll DayNational Ice Cream DayA Salute to the US Dairy Farmers

Event Details

The third Sunday of July is National Ice Cream Day. In 1984, President Ronald Reagan declared this day to promote economic well-being. The back story on this holiday bolstered the dairy industry, since this frozen treat was produced using 10% of the US dairy farmers’ milk supply. Reagan’s proclamation also called on the people of the United States to do their duty and pay tribute to ice-cream with “appropriate ceremonies and activities.” Eat on, America!
