Household hazardous waste such as cleaners, batteries, paint and other toxic materials should never be placed in your roll cart! A cheat sheet for what items need to be properly disposed of is B-O-P-A (batteries, oil, paint and antifreeze). Get rid of the stuff on May 13th, from 8-11am at the Home Depot on Fort Worth Avenue. This service is for residents ONLY, and business materials will NOT be accepted. To drop off at the City of Dallas BOPA Mobile, you must show proof that you live in a Dallas County HHW member city (driver’s license or utility bill showing your name and address). Some restrictions apply. The BOPA Mobile will accept a maximum 25 gallons of items per household. Containers larger than a 5-gallon size will NOT be accepted. The maximum amount of batteries that can be dropped off per household per day is 50 pounds. Palletized batteries will NOT be accepted. For more information, click here.
