How do things get done around here!? Non-Profit org funding and “working arm” volunteers

Kessler Neighbors United (KNU) is a fully registered Texas non-profit corporation, serving the needs and interests of our Kessler Park residents. We are a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. We are governed by a non-paid executive committee comprised of a president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer, elected by a voting resident body at the annual meeting of the organization held in November of each year. The president, with the consent of the other officers, appoints chairs of various committees and special projects. These committees and our many dedicated volunteers serve as the true “working arm” of the organization. Dues and other contributions are strictly elective, and are essential to funding the activities, services and maintenance of our community.

If you are interested in serving on one of our many committees that keep our community revved up and running, visit our Volunteers page, fill out the form and jump in. We welcome an altruistic heart and helping hand!

And if you haven’t paid your dues, pay now. The modest $55 requested amount, or other amount of your choice, is put to good use, including grounds maintenance, resident resources, safety upgrades, utilities, and a host of other annual pie chart expenditures. This year’s annual operating budget is $32,350.

This is OUR neighborhood and day-to-day operations need to get done. Get to know us! We represent you. Volunteer. Take an active role. We need more folks to jump in!

KNU By-Laws, Organizational Chart and Dispute Resolution Policy are posted on the .org page.
