Kessler Neighbors United is a 100% volunteer-driven non-profit organization, and we need a few seats filled. Please consider lending your support and time to our neighborhood needs by serving on an appointed committee. Positions and duties that need filling are:

Membership –
Maintains the KNU member-resident master roster, paid dues and updates to residences (sold and leased properties, new owners, tenants, etc). Also facilitates mailings.

Holidays –
Responsible for holiday and neighborhood enrichment events and manages any holiday decor on common grounds as approved by the KNU and the City.

Store –
Fulfills online store orders processed through our website, like branded t-shirts, hats, mugs and other goods. Duties include order review, item packaging and local delivery (drop off at local residence).

Fundraising –
Focuses on banner sales on our website. Also supports fundraising efforts for any special events, special projects or unforeseen needs.

If interested, click here and fill out a volunteer form for these or other interests or contact John Crowley at president@kesslerneighbors.org. We’ll bring the seat!

A recap of our 2022 goals is below:

Community –
Post-pandemic return to community-building, volunteer and fundraising events.

Fundraising –
Increase engagement with neighborhood on dues, maximize non-event and non-dues related fundraising opportunities through website sponsorships and merchandise sales (bricks, plaques, KNU logo product).

Communication –
Maintain communication channels and transparency through regular updates to website, newsletter and social media.

Beautification –
Develop global and island-specific landscaping guidelines. Increase use of native, drought tolerant and low maintenance plantings. Continue to maintain islands to Momentum requirements.

Conservation –
Continue to advocate for the neighborhood on conservation district issues and be a resource for neighbors as they navigate the guidelines.

Streetscapes –
Continue to identify and execute pedestrian and traffic improvements to benefit the neighborhood.

NOCUPP –
Continue to promote increased neighborhood participation.
