Kessler Neighbors United is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization. We need your active participation, enthusiasm and sweat equity as a resident of Kessler Park! Volunteering plays a vital role in fostering a vibrant community. Please consider getting involved in one of our committees.  Form provided below.

Membership Committee
Maintains the KNU member-resident master roster, paid dues and updates to residences (sold and leased properties, new owners, tenants, etc). Also facilitates mailings.

Beautification Committee
Oversees neighborhood enhancements, medians and traffic islands. Duties include planning and implementing landscaping, lighting and utilities. Such projects are endorsed by the City of Dallas’ MOWmentum program, designed to improve public right-of-ways through active community participation. The committee meets monthly and on some weekends for island maintenance.

Communications Committee
Communicates events & relevant subject matter to our member-resident base via our website and facebook. Works with ad agency as point-of contact and serves as a public relations liaison.

Fundraising Committee
Focuses on fund-raising efforts that include banner sales on our website, and any special events, special projects or unforeseen needs that may arise. Also serves as a goodwill arm in fostering relationships with area businesses and supporters.

Holidays Committee
Responsible for holiday and neighborhood enrichment events and manages any holiday decor on common grounds as approved by the KNU and the City of Dallas.

Kessler Krawl Committee
Plans our annual premier fundraising event & neighborhood social that traverses several homes within walking distance. Complete with edibles, beverages and a silent auction, this outing is sponsored by area businesses and individual supporters whose contributions make this spirited event possible.

New Neighbors Committee
Serves as our neighborhood ambassador, extending a warm welcome and care package to new residents.

Social Committee
Plans social events, gatherings and outreach that encourages neighborhood enrichment and networking opportunities.

Store Committee
Fulfills online store orders processed through our website, like branded t-shirts, hats, mugs and other goods. Duties include order review, item packaging and local delivery (drop off at local residence).

Streetscapes Committee
Addresses safety concerns relating to pedestrians, joggers and bikers coursing through our sidewalks and streets. Involves planning for sidewalks, streetlights and signage enhancements, and any projects undertaken in collaboration with the City of Dallas’ Streets Department.
